US Foreign Policy - Part 7

Willamette Valley Forum continues its fall series with Dr. Robert Sahr, of OSU’s Department of Political Science, is a highly-respected scholar on the role of the media in American political life. Rob will speak on whether the media treats John McCain and Barack Obama differently and, in the case of US Foreign Policy, if journalists have different rules for the portrayal of friend and enemy nations.

This presentation takes place at the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library.
 
Dr. Sahr is a “Master Teacher” in the College of Liberal Arts at OSU, a recognition of his excellence in teaching and interaction with students. His many classes include “Presidential Politics”, “Politics and the Media”, “Public Opinion and Politics” and “Tax and Spending Politics and Policy”.
 
In addition, Dr. Sahr has built a reputation for his research on the political impact of inflation. An example of his work is an article in a journal of the American Political Science Association, entitled “Using Inflation-Adjusted Dollars in Analyzing Political Developments.”
