Chair, Linn County Democrats

Our Central Committee meets at Pop's Branding Iron located at Pacific Blvd in Albany. Starting on march 5, we will be meeting on the first Wednesday of the month. However, our February meeting is scheduled for the 20th. For those who would like to join us at 5:30 PM for a relaxing social/dinner hour please do so. Starting at 6:30 PM we generally have a guest speaker. Our business meeting starts at 7:30 PM. At our February 20 meeting we will hear what young Democrats from LBCC are thinking. We will also be showing a DVD featuring Howard Dean, the Chairman of the national Democratic Party. On March 5th we will have US Senate candidate Steve Novick as a guest speaker as well as Secretary of State candidate Vicki Walker. On April 2 our guest speaker will be Rick Metzger, another excellent candidate for Secretary of State. We will also hear from Wayne Keeney of the state DPO. Wayne will guide us through the steps to become a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in August. This may well be the most important national convention in our lifetime and Linn County Democrats have a chance to participate. As we get deeper into the coming election cycle it is critical that we all stay informed and involved. Coming to the Central committee meetings is one great way to do this. You will meet all of our candidates and find out how you can help them lead successful campaigns. You will also meet some of the greatest people in Linn County.
